Here's an Easy Way We can Help Others during the Holidays
Sometimes, it's the simple things that we forget about when we're thinking of ways we can help others anytime of year, and particularly during the holidays.
We all collect small change as we go about our days .... and I made a habit of putting it in a pretty "piggy bank" that a friend made me for Christmas years ago (shown above). Each time I find change jingling in my pocket or purse, I just put it in the piggy bank. Once a year during the holidays, I package up the coins in the little sleeves you can get at the bank, and bring them to a local charity that provides food for needy families .. but any charity would appreciate your donation.
Although my yearly coins only average a modest amount, you can always add a bit more if you want :-) And I've never heard of a charity that didn't truly appreciate even the smallest donation. If you have kids or grandchildren, you can enlist their aid to fill the piggy bank!
Last night while watching TV I emptied out this year's coins and am ready to bring them to a local charity who provides food to those who need it. I invite you to join me and make it an annual thing.
