Fantastic Maureen. How did the Open House go? And do tell, how did you get those dec. balls to stay still on the dining table? I love everything about your work on this project. The back yard however does not remind me of the usual ALL grass and roses PNW. I can imagine that this type of green project would be very "hot" in your area.
Hi Ginger ~ those bamboo balls on the dining table have a flat spot on the bottom to keep them from rolling around! :-)
This lot is about half an acre and all the plantings are native as well as drought-resistant ... so no watering required. There is also a creek in the back ... a beautiful and serene setting. No grass to mow! Someone could, of course, plant roses if they wanted ..... they smell so wonderful when they're in bloom. Thanks as always for stopping by and commenting.

Thanks Kate! They installed beautiful windows in this home to take advantage of the light, and all of the window sills throughout this 2,700 sq ft home are made from one tree!
