Carole ~ Well for once I don't know if I can say I "enjoyed" staging it, considering it was 108* and 106* both days -- and the house had no A/C!!! Yikes we thought we were going to faint....but we made it and of course, fell in love with the house along the way.
Yikes is right Maureen...I remember those few HOT, HOT days in the PNW and they were brutal. Staging in this hot weather is a drag. I'm a morning person but regardless of how early one starts by 10 am it's HOT here and I bet it's the same there.
As for this house, you did again! Very well done home and another bank owned...Yippee! Still working on that element.
Ginger ~ Yes, we were actually talking about you yesterday while staging that house, thinking that you must somehow get used to the heat (were your ears burning?) I'm going to do another post about the staging of this house in that extreme heat... stay tuned.
Yes, this was the 4th foreclosure staged for the same bank. The first 3 sold very quickly after being staged, but had all been on the market over a year as vacants. It's great that they see the value in staging, and they also keep the property professionally cleaned, and paint if necessary to freshen up the look.
The home turned out beautiful. I think buyers will be very happy with the inside!
