In previous posts we wrote about a smart regional bank in Oregon who hired our Portland home staging company to stage vacant new construction homes that had been on the market from 1 to 3 years without a sale. After House #1 sold a month after staging, the Bank asked us to move that staging inventory to House #2, and it sold quickly too.
Meanwhile, we staged House #3 with new furnishings and after it had been on the market for 18 months as a Vacant home, it sold in just 38 days! The Bank then asked us to move the staging inventory to House #4 ~ Before & After photos are shown below.
This savvy Bank has made an investment in these properties, providing construction financing and support to the building community. Not only did the Bank have these beautiful homes staged with inviting furnishings, they also had landscaping refurbished, repainted some interiors, upgraded carpeting, and even provided regular cleaning service. These homes are selling quickly! Neighborhood values are kept intact so even the neighbors have been grateful this Bank's involvement ensures that the foreclosed homes will sell -- rather than continuing to languish on the market.
Will other Banks follow this example? The investment in staging -- in presenting these homes in their best condition -- is WORKING. Hopefully stagers across the country will continue to contact local & regional banks (often the "asset manager" is a good contact) to encourage them to consider staging their foreclosed inventory. Everyone in the transaction wins!

Great staging and a great example of what banks show be doing to help move their inventory. I hope others will follow this example.

We recently staged a bank owned property...paint here and there...landscaping...curb appeal....and voila...an offer in less than 2 weeks !

It is an amazing difference! Possibly the active word is "regional". As a Regional bank has less of a chain of command, more interest in the local region and the decisions they made were reflected positively in the quick sales and were communicated back to the decision makers. I definitely hope more banks get on this band wagon. Great job!

By the way I was recently found online by a relocation company based in OR. They were calling on behalf of a client here in TX whose house hadn't sold yet. The representative was also a stager and she knew the value of staging a house for sale in this market. I love it when people think outside the box!
