If you're selling your home in Portland Oregon you need to stage it to make it appealing to potential buyers. Here's a home staging tip: make your kitchen look like a great place to entertain your family & friends. People often think of the kitchen area as the "heart of the home" and a place where family gathers to share good food & conversation. Adding color and some food items often helps buyers imagine how it would feel to live in, and enjoy, your kitchen.
Needless to say, first your kitchen must be gleaming, sparking clean! Don't forget the major appliances need to shine, inside & out.
Here are photos of some kitchens that we've staged in the Portland OR area to make them appealing to the target buyer using props to give the kitchen an inviting look and "feel" ...

Your kitchens are perfectly staged -- as is every room your touch! I am enjoying your series.
Karen ~ Many thanks for your kind remarks ... the "series" has been fun hasn't it?
Maureen, The kitchen looks wonderful. I always recommend to my clients they purchase those bottles with peppers and oil, they add splashes of color to the kitchen.
Carole ~ Those bottles are popular and do add color nicely! Thanks for stopping by.
Good golly girl...now that I came back and looked more closely I'm noticing that you've stolen my props. Yeap you're going to see some of the same items in my #6. This is too funny. Obviously they look great...(smile). (I know where you shop.)
Ginger ~ Hmmm not sure which ones but now I'm curious to see the next post in your series! Some of these props are from the grocery store, and most of them are from 2 well-known home decor places ....
I love it! I have some of the same props but use them differently. Can't wait until the next kitchen, mix it up a bit..lol
Cindy ~ It's fun to change them up in each job, isn't it? It's enjoyable staging a kitchen.
You certainly don't disappoint with your photos Maureen! Just the right amount of touches and of course we have to emphasize the importance of CLEAN.
Lovely details. Beautiful vistas. Totally makes one want to dive right in and creat somethind delicious!
Brill, my friend.
Cynthia ~ Clean as can be, that's so important to start with isn't it?
Juliet ~ Yiou know, I've staged quite a few kitchens that I wish I could conjure up something delicious in every day!
Gorgeous staging. I love your "emotional connection displays". Everything looks so inviting. Great post.
Chrissie ~Thanks for your nice feedback.
Maureen,
Have you considered doing consultations by seeing videos or photographs? I can see the massive improvement. Each room was glowing with light and was weloming. Excellent series.
Kevin ~ I do offer consultation service by viewing photos, yes! It works quite well and is a very cost-effective tool for sellers even if they live in a rural area without nearby professional stagers. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the series and appreciate your comments as a Realtor!
These are beautiful Maureen and LOVE the props-- gorgeous! It's funny that even though buyers know they're just for show, they still love them and immediately start picturing warm friendly gatherings and cozy family nights.
As you know so well Michele, that is the idea! :-) An empty kitchen would look stark and cold. We like to make the buyers feel comfortable and able to imagine this could be their home ... even though they might live in it a bit differently, staging helps them to see the potential. Thanks for commenting.
