I love not only your work (that is always phenominal) but the beginning, the middle and the end shots.  What a difference there is in each one!  Excellent post Maureen.

Hi Laura ~ Thank you for your very generous comment!  Sometimes it's fun to show how it looked before any work was done, and also before the staging.  This home had quite a transformation overall ... and the sellers and the listing agent were happy with the outcome!

Maureen - What a beautiful, fairytale home to begin with.  So glad they had you as their fairy godmother, waving her wand and turning purple and green walls into a beautiful, soft, butter yellow.  Glad to see the ogre's rough floors smoothed, polished and refinished til they gleamed, and the Goldilock's mis-matched furniture replaced with beautiful furnishings, fit for a new king and queen homeowner!  Looks like they all lived happily ever after, thanks to you!

Maureen, I loved this little house from the first exterior photo with that awesome roofline. Then add the interior changes that you helped orchestrate and wow, it's superior (as always).  No wonder you're so very busy!!

Oh Maureen....what beautiful staging you did for this home! Good staging can really help a well priced home sell faster...and this is a really well staged home! Great job.

Maureen, beautiful transformation! Congrats on the quick sale and on cooperative client. Not every seller would get rid of their custom made draperies even they were made in 80's of the last century.

Hi Sally ~ You should really think of a second career as a writer!  This home is just as cute as it could be with so many wonderful features and nicely-done updates while keeping the charm that so many Portland buyers are looking for.  It even has an indoor lap pool!

Hi Ginger ~ That roofline makes for wonderful nooks and crannies in this house.  This is the second staged home in two weeks that sold in less than a week  :-)

Hi Maureen--Oh, you make my Sunday evening (still Sunday here on Maui).  I love seeing your posts.  This house is so adorable and has so many architectural features and all the work done as well as your staging just really make it shine.  The living room is a huge transformation.  Small wonder it sold so quickly.  Congratulations on another great job and another great post.

I love this house!  I wish it had been available in my area.  I love the fairytale look of the exterior.  The inside would have been very disappointing to buyers if the sellers had not consulted with you though!

Maureen...."Enchanted" is right!!!  Such a darling home from the curb....and with YOUR staging and vision the inside is in step.  BEAUTIFUL in every sense....and I'm with everyone else it was great to see the Before - During - After!!!

Hi Sharon ~ You're right, even with mega curb appeal, buyers might have moved on to the next home if these sellers hadn't been willing to prepare their home with cosmetic improvements and staging.

Hi Kathy ~ Thank you!  I thought it would be interesting to show the various "stages" involved.  Sometimes people think that just painting and doing repairs is enough ... but a vacant home isn't too inviting.  It takes staging with furnishings to make the home more appealing to buyers, setting the scene, (as you well know and do on every one of your projects :-)

Awesome -- before,  vacant and after -- picture perfect.  You made a doll house for grownups!

Well if that isn't the greatest curb appeal, what a darling house. And if a buyer would have seen the insides 'before' they would have run screaming. Purple DR with green drapes? Are you kidding me, ha. Your work was fabulous. Love seeing the before, middle and after.

Hi Shar ~ these sellers are not afraid of color (you should have seen some of the other rooms that aren't shown here, before they were painted :-)   That is fantastic for when you're living in a home, but when it's time to sell, my mantra is let's get neutral.

Hi Marianne ~ Many people may not be aware that true staging inlcudes taking care of fixing cosmetic issues as well as bringing in furnishings.  I can't really do the second part well, unless the first part is done, since both are an important component of the overall presentation of a home.  Thanks for stopping by today!
