Looks like a fun home, Maureen. What is the age of the home? It is historical or only built to look that way? Either way, great charm.
Debbie -- thanks -- it was built in 1925 and does have some fun spaces while at the same time maintaining original features. Thanks for commenting.
This home is absolutely beautiful. You can tell that the sellers took the extra time to stage it properly. I'm sure it gets raves on showings.
Christine ~ Thank you for your nice compliment ... the sellers were smart enough to hire my company to help them stage this home! It's already had multiple offers in just the first week on the market and they expect a sale soon.
Great job as always, Maureen! I especially like the unusual built-ins for the child's room. Had that not been staged, i'm sure buyers would have wondered what it was.
Maureen ~ Love this house! You could tell the sellers would do the right thing and stage just by looking at how they care for the outside of this house. Your staging really shows off how much space is in these rooms.
Maureen - What great results from your wonderful staging! The cute children's room and office area could have been seen as odd or wasted space - but you showed how wonderful they can be!
Pangaea ~ That built-in bed area was very confusing prior to staging, you're right. We felt that staging it as a child's bedroom or play area would make it appealing to a family.
Kathy ~ The house has great curb appeal and was very well cared for the sellers, who raised a family there. Some of the rooms were previously used for other purposes so we staged them to make more sense to potential buyers.
Margaret ~ The office/studio space is unique and has a railing over a firepole to the room below! Fun, but buyers might wonder what to use it for. The great light in this space make it an ideal office or studio space. Thanks for your feedback.
Maureen, The home is beautiful and so is the staging. I love that it's so open and sometimes can be difficult to stage, you did a wonderful job!
Carole ~ Thanks very much for your feedback, I loved working in this home and it has a great "vibe."
Maureen, I see your signature all over that house. As I've said before you are so lucky to have such interesting homes to work in! We have nothing here but the samo samo.
What a beautiful home to work with -- nice work, Maureen! There's no surprise that this home is being snatched up quickly, even in this market. It has great character, and you really made it shine!
hi Terry! You reminded me of how lucky we are indeed to have diverse, interesting and eclectic architectural styles here in Portland. It makes staging them a real pleasure. Thanks for stopping by!
Leslie ~ Within a week of listing, they have 1 offer on the table and 2 more pending. Hopefully for the sellers' sake one of them will finalize quickly. Thanks for your nice feedback!
Great job and such creativity, I could learn a thing or two from you. And it is also glad to hear that you have consistant business. Things are drying up a bit in NJ.
Benita ~ We all learn from each other here on A/R .... I love working with other stagers on my projects as the collective decisions we make are usually the best ones. Thanks for commenting.
Amazing! Awesome staging too!
Beautiful beautiful work! I love the living room and the little bed built into the wall - how fun!
Tony & Libby ~ Thank you for your enthusiastic comment. This charming house now has an accepted offer (we just staged it on Friday!)
Annie ~ The little built-in bed was empty and just seemed like it needed to be made into a child's space.
I love the character of custom homes, it turned out so pretty thanks to your advice.
Cindy ~ This home was built in 1925 and is one of several similar ones in its neighborhood, which is a blend of gracious styles from that era. I just love working in these unique homes since they have so much character.
Beautiful job on the staging, Maureen. This house is just a few doors down from where I live and its always been one of my favorites in the neighborhood.
Thanks Shea ~ Good to see you here! What a great neighborhood, it's a favorite of mine too. The sellers and LA are happy it sold so quickly!
Of course it sold looking like that! Gorgeous!
Arrrrggggggggggggg long skinny rooms (I have one of my own) you defined this space well.
