Most sellers need some type of home staging help prior to listing their home ... whether it's a consultation report or actual hands-on staging from a professional stager. With all of the other homes competing for the same buyer pool as your home, staging can help reduce market time and make your home look its very best for potential buyers.
We just completed the staging of this occupied home. The seller realized that since he lived in the home he needed our help to advise him on what should be done prior to listing. We gave him a list of Things To Do and provided him with an action plan for the interior & exterior of this lovely home. We worked with the seller's furnishings and provided the missing pieces and accessories to make this home inviting and ready to sell.
Here are some Before & After photos of this project ... how would you like YOUR home to be represented in the online multiple listing service?

And a few more "After" photos ....

Sellers ~ Be sure to call your local professional Home Stager for help in preparing your home to look it's best for selling. The return on your staging investment is often recouped many times over!

Maureen, you have showcased this home beautifully by adding to the seller's existing belongings. After your work I now know there is a formal dining room. The family room looks so much larger and I love the entry. Great work!
What a beautiful house, I can only say that because I've had seen the after shots. You did an outstanding job. I bet they don't want to move anymore. Great work Maureen.
Michele ~ This home is really appealing but just needed a little "tweaking" to show potential buyers the possibilities. I love that entry too! Thanks for your kind comment.
Chrissie ~ It's so funny you said that, because the first thing the seller said when he came through was "now I don't want to move!" Hopefully a buyer will fall in love too. Thanks!
Maureen, beautiful job on this house, I know the homeowner and realtor must have been appreciative - I'm sure it will sell quickly!
Maureen ~ It looks like this house had some interesting nooks and crannies going on. I love the way you handled them. Was the art work theirs? Nicely done!
Maureen Bray is at it again! You did a superb job with this staging and should be extremely proud!
Congratulations. Your post is being featured in the group Staging Before & After Pictures.
Kathy
Great before and afters and I love your new blog look. I'm still trying to navigate the idiosyncrasies of my new "teenager" ;-)
Beautiful work Maureen! What a difference just a day with a professional stager makes. I especially love the Master Bathroom, which looks like it wasn't being used (except as a laundry room), and now looks as luxurious as it should.
Excellent work, Maureen! I especially like the colorful artwork in the halls -- it infuses life and vitality into a home that looked rather sad before. No wonder he wants to stay there!
Another great job lady! I'm sending seller's to your blog to help convince them of what CAN be done. I especially like the dinette shot with the oh too familiar oak set from the 70's. I do have to be honest and say that I still have mine BUT I only use the table outside on the screened porch. Every thrift store and consignment store that I visit has a least one in their inventory. Thank goodness you replaced it! LOVE the new blog look...very classy!
Joanne ~ The seller is hoping for a quick sale and we're all keeping our fingers crossed!
Kathy P. ~ I too love the angles and nooks in this home .... and most of the artwork belongs to the seller. He has a great collection of interesting pieces.
Kathy N. ~ I'm honored that you're featuring this post -- thank you!
Connie ~ Thanks, my new blog look was custom designed by my webmaster. We're still tweaking it.
Peg ~ You know the old saying, "how we live in our homes is so different than how we prepare it for selling" -- I said this many times to the seller, who "got it." He did a great job getting through his list of our recommendations.
Leslie ~ The colorful art really livens up this home, doesn't it? Thanks for stopping by.
Ginger ~ So you see the oak sets too from time to time? They have a kind of "office furniture" look to them, don't they? When selling, they need to be replaced ... keep telling your clients. Thanks for your enthusiastic comments.
This home is gorgeous and your staging now enhanced every feature in it!!! Beautiful work Maureen!
Maureen,
These are some GREAT Before and Afters! Your special staging talents have given this house the warmth and inviting feeling that it needs in order to SELL!
Cathy ~ It was so much fun working on a home with such great features to begin with!
Michelle ~ Thanks ... I hope buyers share your enthusiasm! Fingers crossed ....
Maureen, You did (as always) a fabulous job! I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the homeowners changed their minds! Often times they don't realize the potential beauty of a home.
Carole ~ You never know ... that might happen. The seller did say that he thought the house looks better now than when he bought it.
At least it doesn't look like a single guy lives here. It could be for a couple or family now.
Nice job Marueen. You opened up the possibilities for them. I'm sure it'll sell quickly.
Terrylynn ~ We're certainly hoping that will happen! Thanks for stopping by.
Great job Maureen. The before and afters are fantastic!
Dan and Amy ~ It's especially nice to hear from Realtors here in the Stage It Forward group. Thanks for your kind remarks.
Beautiful photos of a well done project. It just amazes me at what others can't see in their own home. Once you live in a home for a while you really can't be objective about it.
Amazing, Maureen! You set a great example of re-using and re-ducing. I have much to learn from Professionals like you!
Lori ~ None of us are really able to see our home the way that potential buyers can, it's true. That's why sellers really need our advice.
April ~ We like to use the homeowner's items whenever possible, but often in ways they wouldn't have thought of. Thanks for your feedback.
Maureen - I love home stagers. They can do so much to make a home look better. I loved your pictures in your post. Nicely done!
Cindy ~ What a nice thing to say! Thank you for your wonderful feedback, it's so encouraging to hear this from an experienced agent.
Maureen, this is great work (as always). I just love working on occupied homes! I love the consultation part - bringing up ideas the homeowners never thought of and making them have those "Aha" moments! And I love working with what people already have and making something great - just as you have done. Congrats!
Annie ~ Like you, I find working with a client's items to be challenging and fun! Thanks for your nice feedback.
As usual, excellent staging! The "after" house looks like it could be in a magazine. The artwork is fabulous! Congratulations!
Holly
Holly ~ That is so kind of you to say, and really made my day -- thank you! Hope all is going well in your neck of the woods too!
my favorite pics are the ones showing the hallway. i like the gallery feel of the art pieces showcased on the walls.
Benita ~ I like that shot too, it does give the entry a wonderful feeling. Thanks for your feedback!
